Two days to experience the best of Riyadh. From specialty coffee to fine dining, here's how to do it right.

Saturday

Morning (9am-12pm)

Start with specialty coffee at Brew92 or % Arabica. Saudis start slow on weekends, so enjoy the quiet morning. Head to the National Museum for Saudi history and culture.

Afternoon (12pm-5pm)

Lunch at Najd Village for authentic Saudi cuisine — try kabsa and traditional dishes. Then explore Masmak Fortressand the historic Dira Square area in old Riyadh.

Evening (6pm-late)

Head to Tahlia Street for the café culture experience. Sunset coffee at Urth Caffé or Sociale. Dinner at a KAFD restaurant — Zuma or Hakkasanfor a special evening. End with a walk around KAFD's stunning architecture.

Sunday

Morning (9am-12pm)

Drive to Diriyah (20 min from central Riyadh). Explore the UNESCO World Heritage At-Turaif district. Traditional Najdi architecture and Saudi history in the birthplace of the Kingdom.

Afternoon (12pm-5pm)

Lunch in Diriyah, then head to Kingdom Centre for shopping and the Sky Bridge observation deck. Views across the entire city. Alternatively, catch a film at muvi Cinemas KAFD.

Evening (6pm-late)

If Riyadh Season is running, spend the evening at Boulevard City — restaurants, entertainment, and live performances. Otherwise, dinner at The Globe (Al Faisaliyah Tower) for panoramic views. End with specialty coffee somewhere on Tahlia.

  • Book restaurants in advance, especially KAFD fine dining
  • Friday is prayer day — many places closed until 4pm
  • Evening culture: things pick up after 8pm
